In a big leap toward smarter urban mobility, Rapido has partnered with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to enable metro ticket booking directly through the Rapido App. Rapido, the popular bike-taxi aggregator app, offers Metro Ticket booking directly within the Rapido platform. Starting this month, users can skip long queues and seamlessly purchase Delhi Metro Tickets while planning their last-mile rides—all in one app.
Rapido App- One-Stop Solution for Commuters
The new feature allows users to book QR-based Delhi Metro tickets via the Rapido App, pay using UPI, and scan the code at metro gates – eliminating the need to stand in long queues or switch between apps. Commuters can now plan their entire journey from a Bike, Taxi or Auto ride to the Metro Station, the metro trip itself, and the final leg to their destination – all in one app. To sweeten the deal, first-time users booking metro tickets through Rapido will receive a Free Ride, and all metro-linked rides are available at a flat rate of ₹25 from select stations.
How to Book Metro Tickets on Rapido App
Booking a Delhi Metro ticket on the Rapido App is straightforward-
- Open the Rapido app on your Smartphone.
- Choose the “Metro” tab or select “Book Metro Ticket“.
- Select your Departure and Destination stations.
- Confirm journey details and proceed to payment via UPI, Credit / Debit cards, or Wallets.
- Receive a QR code or Token for entry at Metro Gates.

According to Rapido Co-Founder Aravind Sanka, over 1 lakh users already use Rapido to reach Metro stations daily, and this integration is expected to boost that number significantly.
DMRC has teamed up with Rapido, follows a similar initiative by Uber and reflects a broader push to make public transport more accessible and digitally connected through ONDC open protocol.
